LTM Local Traffic Manager

LTM Local Traffic Manager

LTM is a device that is present in almost every structure, and we would like to remind you that we will only address critical points from a security perspective. LTM is a reverse proxy. Its general purpose for end-users is to terminate SSL and distribute the related traffic to servers. We will have to touch on the deployment models of LTM devices at this point.

In this scenario, the source IP does not get lost, but route definitions need to be made for each segment. Implementation is difficult, and the load balancer must be the default gateway for the servers. However, if traffic does not have to go through HTTPS all the way to the server, it can be analyzed by the desired network device before reaching the server without using an SSL visibility device. In this area, only a packet broker can be used if desired. A desired structure can still be created. If an organization using one-arm LTM wants to use SSL Visibility inbound, it will not need to use SSL Visibility by positioning LTM as route mode with topological changes.
